I'm still feeling so fully held and loved up by the Sacred Fire and so many dear friends who met me there (and here) ~ these pics from the morning after a week ago. Big life transitions(Dad died) need to be marked and witnessed in community in order to become complete. This traditional 24 hour sacred fire ceremony, plus the powerful memorial service at Dad's church the day before, were huge leaps for me (and for Dad, my brother, all of us) in this great transition. Big Big Thanks for this Sacred Fire ceremony and the people that carry it forward. What a gift!

I went back to work for the weekend launch of the Tracking & Nature Connection Series with my buddy and tracking partner
John Brossard, so fun and such a privilege to offer:

Essentially tracking, trailing and napping with some of my favorite people and wildlands. So stoked to engage life in this way again. Life goes on...

About half of Dad's clothes ready for donation... Wow! Also, anybody want to buy a baby grand piano, or a house? What a project, engaging every little inch of me, inside and out!

Well, I'm kinda exhausted, it's true. AND it's coming together, day by day... We have 3+ prospective piano buyers, and I think by the end of next week this house clearing project will be a done deal enough for me to go home and be there for a while. Let the contractors do the rest. I miss being home...

It's been a rockus season in these weeks of Dad's sickness then graceful passing one month ago. The support surrounding me/us on all levels has been truly incredible. I'm learning a lot about asking clearly for help and about simply letting go... <sigh> And what a blessing. Big Thanks!
**Anyone available to help me during the day today (Tuesday) and/or Thursday if still needed to schlep the last of Dad's things to new homes?!
Yes, yes, I know I could do it alone if needed (a voice tells me), but that'snot how we do these things around here, whenever possible, especially in times of grieving. Last week, my friends Diamond and Bosch were a huge help to me for an hour or two moving a van full of boxes to a small storage space (stoked!). Now it's time for the rest of it, to completely clear the house and garage, completely! We're down to 4-5 van loads of stuff that needs to go to a recycling center, a particular thrift store, Salvation Army and Goodwill and maybe the dump for the rest (relatively little). Can you help? I'll be at the house in Redwood Shores from early morning tomorrow until about 3pm, then again on Thursday if still needed. Please call me for more info. Wholehearted Thanks!
...Thanks, y'all! I feel the wind in my sails here, from your good wishes here on Facebook, from a solid partnership with my brother Bob and from my dear elder Terry and neighbor Matt. We're rockin' it, slowly but surely...

Whoa, it's working! Next step: bank, thrift, thrift, shredders, home... What a weird wildernessthis is, surprisingly diverse with uncomfortable unknowns and scary dark places."(whining) Do I have to..." "(smiling) F*ck it, let's dance!" So far, so great for the most part.

...to trailing this grey fox on a Point Reyes beach on Friday. What a treat! Both touching these memories and tracking this fox. Such a cool fox trail too! The park and beaches are technically closed due to the federal shutdown (aka nearly no human traffic). Well over 100 tracks in a row counted in this trail as the little buddy traveled and sniffed along the high tide line and creek drainage near the sea cliffs. A gorgeously spacious day to track and wander…
