Wilderness Skills + Personal Mentoring with Scott
Scott Davidson has been working skillfully with teens, adolescents and families for 20 years, with groups and 1-on-1 sessions. Helping others shine is what brings him alive! Read Scott's bio here.
He feels that when personal adventures are well guided, the Doing facilitates healthier and happier ways of Being, eventually along pathways that grow into mature adult human beings who are naturally in wholehearted service to community. For example:
~ Working with fire (and sometimes playing with it) helps youth consciously work with anger, passion and service.
~ Learning knife skills and carving a spoon helps them hold responsibilities and begin to proudly feed themselves and others.
~ Tracking wildlife naturally cultivates sharp focus and discernment, compassion and stewardship.
Everyone wants to become fully themselves and welcomed in. Everyone wants to be respected as they are and feel a sense of belonging. And we all naturally get stuck in old ways of being sometimes too, feeling separate, alone. Scott naturally sees the gifts in others, opens new doorways, and helps them shine with direction in life.
Scott is offering a variety of guided experiences with nature-based skills + potent personal mentoring in these specialties:
- Fire making and tending from scratch
- Wildlife tracking and deep connection
- Spoon carving and knife safety
- Hunting, trapping, skinning and cooking
- Way finding and lost proofing
- Plant medicine: tinctures, teas and first aid
- Ways of council to deepen listening and authenticity
- Honoring life transitions through marking thresholds

Liminal Teen Group ~ for adolescents and their families
For ages different cultures have recognized the importance of helping youth make the passage from childhood to adulthood. Around the world this transition has been marked by rites of passage ceremonies. Typically preceded by months or years of preparation, these rites challenged the young person and their parents to shed old roles and ways of being and step into new capacities and identities. In the latter part of the rite, the initiate would go through a pivotal witnessing wherein the elders and the larger community would acknowledge the new adult in their selfhood and in their new capacity and responsibility. New privileges and responsibilities were bestowed at this time. Thus, it is into these widespread and long practiced footsteps that we head into this Liminal Teen Group.

Flirting 101 ~ 1.5 hour sessions, weekly
Upon request in the SF Bay Area, CA
What the heck is flirting anyway? How do you do it? Why does it matter?
to flirt (verb): to enjoy being alive in your body while playfully inviting another closer (another person, place, passion or creative project), ideally without overpowering nor having attachment to the outcome. It begins by being present with yourself and your own truth, then leaning in, when it's safe, if you dare...
What matters most is feeling what's true for you, and being free with how you want to share with others (if at all). No one can take that away from you. These sessions are in the comfort of a family home, completely safe and surprisingly fun.

Staying True in Changing Times ~ 2 hour sessions, with fire and water at the center
Upon request in the SF Bay Area, CA
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is out light, not our darkness
That most frightens us." ~Marianne Williamson
The truth is, the world needs your light now more than ever. How do you shine? There's an old story of separation, perhaps you've heard it before. "Whatever, it's doesn't really matter. There's nothing you can do..." Sound familiar? This is the residue from past empires, those that divided and colonized. It's time for us to de-colonize and re-connect with life again. This new emerging story of connection begins with what's true for you, and being willing to share it... I dare you to.
