Wow, big life... Living it fully now with big beautiful work projects beginning to bloom while also fully engaging my heart, mind, body and spirit with Dad in this new health challenge (metastatic melanoma). He's lead a very full and fruitful life, my Dad, and there's still more juice to squeeze together!

I'm home now, and deeply moved, grateful... This has been a transformative month for us, for me.
Dad is living his last season in life now. We moved him out of our family home yesterday. Very
tender times. He's doing relatively well. Tired, weak and a bit dizzy, but pain-free, sharp-witted and with such love, acceptance and grace now. I'm so proud of him! After his last radiation treatment a few days ago, he asked for a barber shave and they treated him like the precious elder that he is, warm face towel and all... Such a gift for Brother and I to witness. Such a man spa, just what the doctor ordered. Big Thanks for all the loving support and guidance in this tender time... Big Thanks...

"Hard times require furious dancing," says the beloved Alice Walker, and fierce singing and careful listening and mindful breath and certainly an open heart, says I. An open heart... The truth of this moment: Dad has newly discovered clots in his lungs, he's sleeping soundly without pain, he could pass any minute, day or week now. And I am here, with it all hangin' out of my open heart, feeling so engaged, grateful and at peace in this moment... Brother just arrived, Sister here in spirit, and countless others who so love our dear Dad continue to offer love and prayers, from his church and rotary club, from his long full life in true service... Thank you for sending love for Dad... Well, well, another day and Dad's good spirits... Fruit for breakfast. Maybe eggs benedict for brunch later. |

Quietly resting, praying, being with Dad in the room now... Super tender visit last night with Dad, brother Bob, sister Cecilia, and the
kids/grandkids Andrea and Matthew to say thank you, love you, goodbye. All very sweet and tender. Wow... And Dad is so looking
forward to reuniting with Mom again...

Hanging with Brother on Dad's couch, sipping strong coffee, listening to Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" and spaciously swapping stories. Sweet brother time on this Sunday morning, and feeling so very grateful to you and all of your shared love in these days... Hangin' gently with Dad is next.

Go well, dear Dad...
Go well, dear Dad...
After another fading yet peaceful day with Dad yesterday, followed by digging into old photos and sipping Scotch with brother last night, Dad passed this morning, with amazing grace, peace and faith. Wow, what a blessing. What a terrible blessing... Big Thanks and Cheers to this precious gift of life! I thought, "Wow, Dad. You did it..." I'm so proud of him, and so so sad...
