"I loved every minute of it! Scott is a great teacher ~ knowledgeable, skillful, wise, humble..." -MK of Santa Barbara, CA
"I now have a renewed sense of confidence in my ability as a tracker. With Scott’s mentoring I was able to move through 'trailing walls' that previously would have discouraged me. Feeling grateful and satisfied." -MB of Sebastopol, CA
Many cultures the world over tell of a time when all beings spoke one language—humans, animals, plants, stones. How once, words were like magic, part of the weft of the living land.
Learning the art and science of animal tracking is a powerful doorway back into an understanding of the “language” of the wider (and wilder) world. While Scott guides us through this doorway, opening our senses and our minds to the patterns of animal lives on the winter Sierra land, Sylvia will offer a series of writing exercises, and an embodied exploration of the landscapes of folklore and myth, to help us plumb our inner worlds and reinvigorate a poetic language of being.
With this precious opportunity to fully immerse in the Winter Sierra, you will:
Join us to build your skills and connections in celebration of this gift of life!
Each day includes holistic lessons in tracking wildlife, connection practices for wellness and wild adventures as well as shared community meals, fireside stories and a very comfortable lakeside house on the north shore then cozy wilderness hut on the ridge.
